Transitions is the blog companion to India in Transition (IiT), a bi-weekly online publication by the Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI) at the University of Pennsylvania. IiT, which was started in 1997 and became an online publication in 2007, provides a medium for scholars to share perspectives on India’s current status and growth. A complete archive of issues is maintained here.
CASI is lead by prominent scholar of Indian public policy Devesh Kapur and was started in 1992 as the first research institute in the US dedicated to the study of contemporary India. Transitions will provide a forum for CASI staff and friends to share opinions and analysis as well as provide links to important research in the area of Indian political economy.
All viewpoints, positions, and conclusions expressed in Transitions and IiT are solely those of the author(s) and not specifically those of CASI or the University of Pennsylvania.
